I have been slowly warming up to the Apple Watch.
Don’t get me wrong; I love it, but like many people, I had been getting the time from my phone, so I wasn’t used to wearing a watch.. Strangely, it’s weird just to have the time on my wrist.

Streamside thought long and hard before choosing the vehicle for our next game. After my first app, I didn’t think I’d create another native iOS app.
I had tried my hand at Unity 3D and found it to be one of the most pleasant programming experiences ever. This is not an exaggeration.
The Apple Watch shook up my plans. Unity 3D did not embrace the Apple Watch right away. It seemed like it should be a simple option to add a watch extension target to the code Unity generates, but this did not work.

I work at night…deep into the night…usually until dawn, with little to distract me, except the 2am thumping of Oreo, our bunny…oh, and an occasional visit from a few fruit flies.
As I work this evening, a package is moving across the country. My Apple Watch is in transit as I type! It left Ontario, California at 7:28 pm and arrived in Louisville, Kentucky at 2:13 am.
I keep refreshing the UPS tracking page to see where it will go next.

Once in a great while a fundraiser comes along which is too perfect to ignore.
First a bit of background: NSBliss will combine Apple developer culture, which itself is heavily indebted to NeXTSTEP culture (the “NS” in “NSBliss), with cartoons which document my life as an Apple developer.
So imagine my joy when I learned there is a fundraising event benefiting the Cartoon Art Museum (CAM) in San Fransisco, California on June 8, 2015, which falls during my visit for this year’s WWDC.
Needless to say this is a must-attend event for me. I will be there to support this event which, in turn, supports the Cartoon Art Museum, which is being forced to relocate this summer due to a huge rent increase.
Please consider supporting this great cause.
